(invited by the Bang Centre)
Stefanie Tremblay is an artist, writer, and music lover. Holder of a Masters degree in creation (Visual Arts) from the Université du Québec à Chicoutimi, she has, since 2007, presented several solo and group exhibition projects in various artist-run centres throughout Quebec and participated in many artistic and literary events. Her interests are directed towards the photo, video, contemporary poetry, the films of the French New Wave, the photo story and all things a little cheesy. These days, she is working on creating zines and artist books, is obsessively answering calls for submissions and dances at concerts as often as she can. Among other things, she is the author/illustrator of Rincebook and of the zine L’amour a pris son temps. Her latest illustrated book project, Sels de bain (photo story), was launched in March. Stefanie lives and works in Saguenay.
