A Grand Banquet to celebrate Folie/Culture’s 33rd Birthday
Folie/Culture cordially invited you to attend the Grand Banquet celebrating the organization’s 33rd birthday. The table was set on November 10 2017 at 8 p.m., and you were invited to watch as the festivities unfold. 33 guests who had played instrumental parts in the Folie/Culture story over the past 33 years gave presentations as part of the event.Folie/Culture is known as the master of off-the-wall events and passionate, explosive statements. In our typical irreverent spirit we were serving up a crazy contingent of writers, artists, graphic designers, historians, social workers, musicians, poets, psychoanalysts, and everyday users of their services—all people who had, at one point or another, communed with the exalted and sagacious spirit of madness.
Since we couldn’t have passed over in silence the many encounters that have shaped Folie/Culture’s 33 years, we invited a bevy of guests from all walks of life to give wild and wonderful presentations lasting no more than 3 minutes and 33 seconds each.
Folie/Culture was honoured to assemble such an august crowd at one table, as an expression of our gratitude.
Participants: Gilles Arteau, Georges Azzaria, Alain Beaulieu, Denyse Bilodeau, Anne-Marie Bouchard, Annie Brunette, Ellen Corin, Benoît Côté, Érick d’Orion, Doyon/Demers, Martin Dufrasne, JF Dugas, Jean-Yves Fréchette, Caroline Gagné, Fannie Giguère, Steven Girard, Jean-Pierre Guay, Lorraine Guay, Marie-Claude Huot, Sylvie Larouche, Catherine Lepage, Constant Ludens, Félicien Marbœuf, André Marceau, Michel Marcoux, Paul Morin, Réjean Perron, Ranch-O-Banjo, Charles Rice, Alain-Martin Richard, Jocelyn Robert, Guy Sioui-Durand and Michel Viger were on hand to entertain you with their sparkling presentations.
