La Minute Vidéo Folie/Culture 2012

Québec, January 31, 2012. Folie/Culture invites one and all ― professional or amateur artists, members, relatives and friends, and social interveners ― to invest in a unique reflective experience: to produce a one-minute video around the theme Ecstasy, Life, and Other Ecstatic Practices.

In seeking to find a meaning to life, answers can come indifferently from pure reason or from
deviated reason, and manifest themselves in the form of poetry, mysticism, howling, rage, burlesque, symbolism, and excessive practices where pain is a necessary experience. We take for granted, with a touch of irony, that life is an ecstatic practice; it would be meaningful to explore others.

The short films selected will be shown in October 2012 at Œil de Poisson’s Entrée Vidéo during Extase, la vie et autres pratiques extatiques.

To participate, you can:

Option A: Produce a one-minute video ― fiction, documentary, art video ― in a single sequence around the theme Ecstasy, Life, and Other Ecstatic Practices.

Attention:

Only music that is original or free from copyright will be accepted.
