Folie/Culture launches its new biannual theme with the announcement of an exciting new artist in residence, Paul Kawczak. The residency will run for twelve months, starting February 28, 2019.

Folie/Culture invited all professional and non-professional artists, organization members, friends, and social workers to engage in a unique experience of reflection by creating a one-minute video on the theme Walk on Eggshells!

Folie/Culture continued its reflection not on the post-post era, but on the a-POST-era. For two weeks, from October 18 to 28, 2018, Folie/Culture delved into the uncertain and unexpected, redefining contemporary art by propelling it down unexplored paths.

In collaboration with the Société du patrimoine urbain de Québec and Engramme, Folie/Culture invited the public to a fabric-printing event in the heart of the Saint-Roch neighbourhood on Saturday September 29 and Sunday September 30, 2018, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Folie/Culture presented a video installation of The Flag of Fools at Bibliothèque Gabrielle-Roy gallery.

Folie/Culture was offering three half-day workshops hosted and directed by artist Josée Landry-Sirois and art historian Jeanne Couture. These workshops were available to visitors at four different mental health facilities in the Quebec City region.

Folie/Culture was pleased to award the 2018 Prix Garde-Fou to Nadia-Malika Essalik, a graduating BFA (Visual and Media Arts) student at Université Laval.

In the space of a few days, a plethora of artistic interventions will be pummelling Quebec City, reconstructing reality as you know it. It’s the before, the during, and the after, dreamed up by artists setting up camp in the here and now, throwing off the shackles of the POST- to reclaim, and rename, the present!

The table was set on November 10 at 8 p.m., and you were invited to watch as the festivities unfold. 33 guests who had played instrumental parts in Folie/Culture over the past 33 years gave presentations as part of the event.

To kick off our 2017-2018 programming on the theme of POST-, Folie/Culture is pleased to invite artists Alexandre Bérubé, Julie Laurin, and Victoria Stanton to create art in The a-Post Office, a portable structure set up in strategic locations in Quebec's city centre.

In keeping with its longstanding commitment to supporting the creative work of young artists, Folie/Culture awarded the 2017 Prix Garde-Fou to Édouard Rény Coulombe, a graduating BFA student at Université Laval, on May 23.
