La Machine à diagnostics (The Diagnosis Machine) at the Au Contraire Film Festival

Folie/Culture was invited to present its entry, La Machine à diagnostics (The Diagnosis Machine) on the opening night of the 3rd Au Contraire Film Festival (ACFF), an annual event that encourages reflection on mental health issues through avant-garde film. The evening was held at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts on Tuesday, October 27, 2015.Do you have an acute DSMitis? A case of karanoia? Do you suffer from poupisme junglien? Ill or not, the Folie/Culture team had playful mental health diagnoses for everyone present.
Through self-mockery, La Machine à diagnostics illustrates how people with mental health problems can be stigmatized by being labelled with a diagnosis: food for thought on how we look at others.
