Folie/Culture is looking for a dynamic and efficient person to fill the position of Programming and Communications Assistant.

About the center: Founded in 1984, Folie/Culture describes itself as a center for contemporary art. At the same time, the organization pursues a mission of information, awareness and promotion in the field of mental health, by organizing unusual events and activities that provoke reflection on sometimes delicate but always very important social issues with a great deal of sensitivity.

Job responsibilities :

• Promotes project activities and events in the community, to members, partner groups, the media, social networks and bulletin boards;
• Ensures the distribution and inventory of publications;
• Assists the team in coordinating and carrying out programming activities and events;
• All other related tasks.

Qualities and skills required:

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Mastery of social networks and web content management tools (WordPress).
• Ability to write press releases and promotional content (Google Workspace, Canva, etc.).
• Skills in digital marketing and creating promotional campaigns.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with various stakeholders.
• Interpersonal communication skills.
• Excellent organization and time management, with ability to prioritize tasks.
• Autonomy and initiative in managing projects and daily tasks.

Start date: September 2024
Schedule: 28 hours per week. Flexible schedule, possibility of occasional telecommuting. Attendance at committees and events which may sometimes be in the evening or on weekends.
Salary: $21/hour – 4 weeks vacation in July – 18 statutory vacations including Christmas – 1 accumulable monthly sick leave – health care fund
