Folie/Culture encourages artists, curators, writers and collectives to submit project proposals for tap-dancing solos, catwalking in straitjackets, apnea singing and other daredevil practices. Through its mandate, the organization fosters multidisciplinarity, collaboration and thought-provoking practices around mental health issues.

For the 2024-2025 program, under the theme Keep That Door Closed, we are looking for a solo, collective and/or curated exhibition, installation, art-action, intervention, infiltrating art or other project for presentation in fall 2024. Please note that we do not own an exhibition space or production equipment. However, we do encourage collaboration with Quebec City venues and organizations, or the use of atypical locations.
Folie/Culture offers :
– Support for project coordination, dissemination and promotion;
– Exhibition, reproduction or performance rights;
– Assistance in obtaining necessary permits and authorizations;
– Photographic documentation;
– Other, according to needs and available resources.

Send us your proposal in the form that suits you (text, visual or audio), paying attention to these five points:
– Explain your project (500 words max.);
– Explain how your project fits in with the organization’s mission and theme Keep this door closed (500 words max.);
– Explain your artistic practice (250 words max.);
– Explain your support needs and/or the steps involved in carrying out your project;
– Insert images with description (10 max.) and/or Web links;
– Include any other relevant information.
Accepted formats: PDF documents, MP3 sound, MP4 video (max. 5 minutes), JPG images, websites.
